Printhead Care

Protect your Epson printhead — the most expensive component in your DTF printer — with the right maintenance accessories.

Protection

Printhead Moisturizing Device

Keeps the Epson printhead capped and humidified during idle periods. DTF white ink dries within hours if the head is left uncapped — this device prevents clogging between print sessions and is especially critical if you don't print every day.

$149

Printhead tip: The Epson R1390 and L1800 printheads used in Huedrift printers are the single most expensive component to replace. A $149 moisturizing device is the most cost-effective way to extend printhead life — especially for studios that don't print daily. Run a nozzle check at the start of each session to catch clogging early.

Oven Parts

Replacement Parts for the Huedrift DTF Oven

Keep your curing oven running at the precise temperatures that DTF powder adhesion requires. Both parts are direct replacements for the Huedrift Oven for DTF Printer.

Temperature

Oven Temperature Controller

The digital controller that maintains precise curing temperature (320–340°F / 160–170°C). Replace when the oven shows temperature errors, overheating, or inconsistent heat that causes under-cured or over-cured powder adhesion.

Heating

Oven Heating Plate

The primary heating element inside the curing oven. Replace when heat output is uneven across the film surface — visible as inconsistent powder bonding or areas where the transfer peels after pressing.

Accessories

Software & Workflow Accessories

Add-ons that keep your DTF workflow running smoothly — from RIP software licensing to film handling.

Software

USB Dongle for RIP V2.3+

Hardware license key required to activate RIP software version 2.3 or later. Without this dongle, the RIP software will not run. Keep a backup noted — if this is lost, printing stops until a replacement arrives.

Common Questions

Parts & Accessories FAQ

Are these parts compatible with all Huedrift printers?
Most parts have model-specific variants — select your printer model (Huedrift One, Pro, or Pro Max) at the product page to ensure you receive the correct version. If you're unsure which variant fits your machine, contact our support team with your printer model and serial number before ordering. Incorrect board variants cannot always be returned once installed.
How do I know which board my printer needs?
Check the label on the existing board inside your printer — it will show a model or revision number. You can also contact Huedrift support with a photo of the faulty board and your printer's serial number, and we'll confirm the correct replacement before you order. Most boards are listed with their compatible printer models at checkout.
What does the printhead moisturizing device do?
The printhead moisturizing device keeps the Epson printhead capped and humid when the printer is idle. DTF white ink has a high pigment concentration and dries quickly in open air — leaving the printhead uncapped for more than a few hours can cause irreversible clogging. This device is especially important for studios that don't print every day. At $149 it's far cheaper than a printhead replacement.
What is the RIP USB Dongle used for?
The USB Dongle is a hardware license key required to run RIP software version 2.3 or later. Without it plugged in, the RIP software will not activate. If your dongle is lost or physically damaged, you'll need a replacement to continue printing — there is no software-only alternative. Keep it in a safe, consistent location and don't leave it plugged in when transporting the printer.
Can I install these parts myself or do I need a technician?
Circuit board replacements (control board, power board, motherboard) require basic technical comfort — disconnecting ribbon cables and connectors without damaging them. If you're not comfortable working inside the printer, contact Huedrift support first. Ink system parts (tanks, tubes, cartridges) are generally user-replaceable. When in doubt, our support team can walk you through the process via email or video call.
